Stephen Colbert and Ken Miller Interview 2

August 21st, 2009

Second Miller interview on the Colbert Report from June 16, 2008, with a particular emphasis on teaching creationism.

Pretty funny bit at the end from 5:40. Discussing then name-changing creationism, Colbert asks, “What about if one of these days, Intelligent Design just takes the name evolution? Then you could get a new name for your theory, like creationism. But of course we couldn’t teach that in the classroom.”

First Colbert Interview with Ken Miller

August 21st, 2009

First Miller interview on the Colbert Report from January 12, 2006.

“Our guest is a professor of biology at Brown University and a leading critic of Intelligent Design. I’m gonna ask him where he gets off! Please welcome Ken Miller.”

Colbert is genius. He even references the creationist’s misuse of Occam’s Razor: “What I don’t understand is why evolution people just don’t understand why Intelligent Design just seems easier. Occam’s razor says the easiest argument is probably the best one: God made me.”
